March 29, 2021 – National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed every year on March 29 to honor Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.  9 million Americans served during the Vietnam War Era from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975.

Over 58,000 veterans are memorialized on a black granite wall in our Nation’s capital.  Over 1200 Americans were missing in action (MIA) while serving in Vietnam, and around 2500 were prisoners of war (POW).

Every year, on March 29, many organizations host ceremonies and events to commemorate the anniversary of the Vietnam War.  Today we honor these Veterans and their families.  Thank you for your service!
