Gretchen Gerling Goolsbay

If you had to define Gretchen in one word, it would clearly be “compassionate.” While serving as deputy clerk in the Vanderburgh County Circuit and Superior Courts, and working with the Child Support Division, she encountered people at particularly challenging times in their lives, helping them protect their legal rights and obtain justice. After a serious accident left her in severe pain that required two neck surgeries, Gretchen developed a clear grasp of the daily struggles that accompany one’s return to health. A graduate of Bosse High School and a widowed mother of three, Gretchen continues the Gerling family tradition of demonstrating compassion through her volunteer outreach work at The Gathering Church, where she helps with the food pantry and serves meals to families in need. She also enjoys modeling to support Easter Seals, working with local charities, hiking, and biking.
